# See upcoming camp deadlines and events on your important dates page

> Browse the full list of camp-wide deadlines, milestones, and multi-day events published by your organizers — grouped into happening now, upcoming, and past.

The Important Dates page is your single source for every date your camp admins want you to know about — dues deadlines, ticket cutoffs, document due dates, gate-open days, and any other milestone leading up to and during the event.

## How to open the page

Navigate to **Important Dates** in the member sidebar. The page automatically loads all dates for the current camp year that your admins have marked as visible to members.

  Admins can toggle visibility on a per-date basis. If a date is still being planned or is admin-only, it will not appear here — even though it shows up in the admin Settings → Dates list.

## How dates are grouped

Dates are automatically sorted into three sections based on today's date:

| Section           | What appears                                                                                                          |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Happening Now** | Any date whose window includes today (start date is on or before today, and end date — if set — is on or after today) |
| **Upcoming**      | Any date whose start date is in the future                                                                            |
| **Past**          | Any date whose window has fully ended                                                                                 |

Past dates are shown with a dimmed style so you can still reference them without confusion.

## What each date card shows

Each card in the list displays:

* **Title** — a short label like `Dues deadline` or `Gate opens`
* **Category badge** — color-coded by type (dues, documents, tickets, event, system, other)
* **Date or date range** — a single day (e.g. `Mon, Aug 25`) or a range (e.g. `Mon, Aug 25 – Sat, Sep 6`) for multi-day events
* **Description** — optional extra context written by your admin

## Date categories

Categories help you tell at a glance what kind of deadline you're looking at:

* **dues** — payment-related deadlines
* **documents** — document submission cutoffs
* **tickets** — ticket sale and transfer windows
* **event** — event milestones like gate open, burns, exodus
* **system** — automated dates generated by PlayaOS (for example, payment tier cutoffs derived from your plan settings)
* **other** — miscellaneous dates
