# Update your camp member profile and logistics info

> How to update your personal details, arrival dates, dietary restrictions, shelter preferences, and profile photo so your camp has accurate information.

Your profile is the single source of truth that camp organizers rely on for meal planning, shift scheduling, shelter placement, and on-playa logistics. Keeping it up to date — especially your arrival and departure dates and dietary restrictions — directly affects how well camp can plan for you.

## How to update your profile

  <Step title="Open your profile">

## Arrival and departure

Your arrival and departure dates are among the most important fields in your profile. The shift calendar uses them to filter which shifts are available to you — you will only see shifts that fall within your on-playa window.

| Field          | Description                                                                                                        |

| Arrival date | The date you plan to arrive at Black Rock City |
| Arrival time | Your approximate arrival time |
| Departure date | The date you plan to leave |
| Transport mode | How you are getting to the event: personal vehicle, RV, Burner Bus, rideshare, Burner Air, private plane, or other |
| Build week | Check this if you are arriving early to help with camp setup |
| Strike | Check this if you are staying after the event for teardown |

If you are traveling by Burner Bus, Burner Air, or private plane, additional date and time fields appear for your specific travel mode.

## Dietary restrictions

The kitchen team uses your dietary restrictions to plan daily meal headcounts. Select all options that apply:

* No dietary restrictions or allergies
* Vegan
* Vegetarian
* Gluten-free
* Dairy-free
* Nut allergy
* Shellfish allergy
* Egg allergy
* Wheat allergy

You can also type in any other allergies or restrictions not covered by the list. If you carry an epipen, check the **I carry an epipen** box so the team is aware.

<Note>
  Your dietary information appears on your dashboard so you can verify it at a glance. The kitchen team always provides vegan/vegetarian and gluten-free options, but exact headcounts are needed for accurate meal orders.
</Note>

## Preferences

**Cook or clean preference** — tell the kitchen team whether you prefer to cook, clean and serve, or have no preference. This informs shift assignments.

**Camp interests** — select the areas of camp you would like to help with (infrastructure, kitchen, power, water, entertainment, logistics, placement, general). This is not a commitment, but helps organizers understand where volunteers want to contribute.

## Bike rental

If your camp offers bike rentals, you can indicate your interest here and select a preference for an e-bike or regular pedal bike.

## Container shipping

If you are shipping items to the playa via a container truck service, enter the service name, number of items, and a brief description. Camp logistics can then help coordinate moving your items from the container to your campsite.

## Social media

Optionally add your Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, or Facebook handles. Check **Show my social media in the member directory** to make these visible to other campmates.

## T-shirt size

Your t-shirt size is captured during the application and payment process. Contact your camp admin if you need to update it after joining.
