PlayaOS offers three plans designed for camps at different stages: from a small crew just getting organized, to an established camp with a full member lifecycle, to collectives managing multiple camps under one roof. All plans include the core admin tools. The differences are in member capacity, whether your members get their own dashboard, and how many broadcasts you can send.

What the member portal includes

The member portal is the private dashboard that approved members log into to manage their own information. With the member portal enabled, members can:
  • View and update their profile
  • Sign up for available shifts
  • View their shelter assignment
  • Sign required waivers and documents
  • Check their dues payment status
On the Free plan, the member portal is not included. Applicants can still go through the application process and pay dues, but they can’t access the member dashboard, shifts, or documents once approved. This makes the Free plan best suited for very small camps that manage most things over email or in person.
If your camp expects members to self-serve — signing up for shifts, signing documents, or viewing their own payment status — you’ll need the Camp or Network plan for the member portal.

Plan details

$0/monthThe Free plan gives you admin tools to get your camp off the ground: application management, member records, and basic operations. It’s designed for small or brand-new camps that are just figuring out their process.
  • Up to 10 members and 5 admins
  • 1 camp
  • No broadcast emails
  • No member portal (members can’t log into a dashboard)
  • No custom domain (portal lives at yourslug.playaos.app)
  • Community support via the PlayaOS forum
The Free plan is a good starting point, but most active camps outgrow it quickly once applications open.

Annual vs. monthly billing

Both the Camp and Network plans offer annual billing at a ~17% discount compared to paying month-to-month: Annual billing is charged upfront for the full year. Monthly billing renews on the same day each month.

Upgrade your plan

To upgrade, go to Settings → Billing in your portal admin. Select the plan you want and complete payment. Your new limits and features take effect immediately — no portal downtime, no data migration. If you’re on monthly billing and want to switch to annual, you can do that from the same billing page at any time.
If you’re approaching your member limit on the Free or Camp plan, upgrade before you hit the ceiling — new applications can’t be approved once you reach your limit.
